Hanwha aligns with international technology providers to advance a trusted and secure technology stack
Hanwha joined leading global technology companies at the Munich Security Conference to announce the launch of the Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA), a coalition comprising 16 companies from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America committed to advancing a trusted, secure, and resilient technology stack. This Alliance brings together providers across connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software, and AI to establish shared, actionable principles that reinforce trust in digital systems worldwide.
The launch of the TTA reflects a strategic response to an increasingly complex global environment, while rapid advances in AI and digital infrastructure have heightened public scrutiny around governance and responsible innovation. In this context, the TTA aims to define clear attributes of trusted technology, emphasizing how it is developed, secured, and operated, rather than focusing on where it is built.
Hanwha’s participation underscores its commitment to advancing secure and resilient technology ecosystems across sectors including energy, aerospace, manufacturing, and digital infrastructure, all the while supporting job creation and economic growth.
“Trust will play a critical role in advancing technology to ensure it addresses society’s most pressing needs,” said Dong Kwan (DK) Kim, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group. “From energy security and sovereign defense to advanced manufacturing, we believe trusted ecosystems are key to securing societies, strengthening industries, and driving future resilience.”
“In the current geopolitical environment, it is critical that like-minded companies work together to protect security and advance high global standards to preserve trust in technology across borders,” said Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of Microsoft. “Based not on the nationality of the provider but on shared commitments to customers, this Alliance brings together leading companies around clear, verifiable principles that show technology can be secure, reliable, and responsibly operated wherever it is deployed.”
The Trusted Tech Alliance will continue expanding its global community of providers dedicated to interoperable, secure, and open digital infrastructure. By fostering collaboration among like-minded companies, the Alliance seeks to support international efforts to strengthen technological resilience, competitiveness, and public trust in the digital era. The signatories of TTA also include Anthropic, AWS, Cassava Technologies, Cohere, Ericsson, Google Cloud, Jio Platforms, Microsoft, Nokia, NScale, NTT, Rapidus, Saab, and SAP.
