In the naval sector, Hanwha is enhancing global competitiveness through submarine and surface vessel construction, as well as maintenance, repair,
and overhaul (MRO) services. In 2024, Hanwha became the first in Korea to secure and carry out MRO projects for the U.S. Navy, servicing
logistics support vessels including the USNS Wally Schirra, and demonstrating its global MRO capabilities, while reinforcing its role in naval operations
and fleet sustainment. That same year, Hanwha acquired the U.S.-based Philly Shipyard, relaunching it as Hanwha Philly Shipyard and establishing
a strategic foothold for entry into the U.S. naval shipbuilding market.

As the first private aerospace company heading joint projects to develop innovative proprietary technology, Hanwha is leading Korea into the global
ranks for the next phase of the space era. We are building a complete space value chain, including the manufacture of space launch vehicles and
satellites. We successfully carried out the third launch of the Korean launch vehicle Nuri in 2023 and the fourth launch in 2025, working closely with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) as the system integrator for Korea’s launch vehicle program.
Our satellite capabilities include the development of small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites, which can monitor changes in the same location
regardless of time or weather. Hanwha also owns small hyperspectral satellite technologies and is advancing tailored satellite solutions through Satrec
Initiative, which successfully launched the ultra-high-resolution SpaceEye-T satellite in 2025.
